MELROSE NOW OVERDUE.
STORMS DELAY SEARCH. United Press Assn.-—By Electric Telejrraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, November 12. The Defence Department has received a message saying that Melrose himself is three hours overdue at Victoria Point in his search for “Smithy.” SINGAPORE, November 12. The Quantas air-liner left this morning piloted by Scotty Allen. Later it returned to Aior Star owing to storms and is remaining the night before attempting to reach Mergui in the search for "Smithy” to-morrow. The flying boats and the Vildebeeste 'planes report no success. JEAN BATTEN AT MOROCCO. LONDON, November 11. Miss Batten arrived at Casablanca. (Morocco) at 4.20 p.m. local time.
