GOLF COURSE IMPROVEMENTS

A general meeting of the golf club was held on Wednesday evening and in spite ef the very adverse weather prevailing, it was fairly well attended. Various suggestions for improvements on the course were considered and will be put into operation in the autumn before the commencement of next year’s play.

A start lia s been made to repair the concrete slab in the bed of Bowse's creek which lias been in a very dangerous state for seme time past. Due probably in part to recent continuous floods in the creek, larg3 holes had washed out of this slab and the ford presented the very undesirable possibility of a capsize into the water. However, it is earnestly Loped that a safe crossing will he established.
