SPECU LATOR 7 S DOSSES. Keith Williams, who lost £IO,OGO at the famous ‘ 'charity 5 7 party at Sunderland House, London, in December, and afterwards stopped his cheque, is reported to have lost halt a million on January 31, speculating in shares.

Trouble occurred in the market in connection with operations by Garabed Bisliirgan, a big American dealer, involving £2,000,000. Mr Williams says he offered to back Bisliirgan, an old friend, but he refused help. you are broke they pass you by in the street and leave you like rats when there’s a cake about, said Mr Williams in a remarkably outspoken interview on February 1. “They say 1 lost half a million. Well I don’t know how 1 stand myself. It is the end of the accounts to-morrow and settling day is Thursdav. 7 ’

-.Cheerfully acknowledging that he is one of the biggest gamblers in London. Mr Williams added: “They have not beaten me yet. 1 do not think they will beat me now. 111 bet ten to one they won’t. I knew enough to buy 4,000,000 Lvndhurst shares in 1933 at four pence and sell them at four shillings. I borrowed £(SO to do it. Thtee of us made nearly £1,500,000. ‘‘l have made and lost four fortunes. It is more easy to make a fortune than to keep it. I am done maybe once weekly. My aim is to be clone as little as possible. 1 was born lucky. I got the knack of making money. My enemies would like to see me bust, but 1 can pay whatever I lose without seeking assistance. J am still buying Commonwealth bonds at anything from 10,000 to 00,000 daily and am not selling one. I was once caught for £IOO,OOO, but I beat my opponents to the extent of £275,(XX). “I might gamble a million yearly. Money to me is like counters in a game—not something to spend. So long as I win more than 1 lose all s well.”
