LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
PAHIATUA ACTIVITIES. A well-attended meeting of the League of Nations Union was held at the home of Mi ss O. AlcKenny yesterday afternoon. The president, Miss G. McKenny, occupied the chair. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Miss C McKenny; y ice-president, Mrs FT. Paterson ; secretary and treasurer, Mrs K. L. Warren ; executive committee, the president (Miss C. McKenuv) and Mosdames FT. Paterson K L. Warren and -T. D. Wilson. Mrs FI. Paterson was elected delegate to attend the annual conference to be held in- Wellington shoirtTt was decided to hold a public meeting as soon as possible to promote interest in Pahiatua in this fine movement and to arrange with the Mayor (Mr J. D. Wilson) to preside at this meeting, when outside speakers will he in attendance.
