NEWS FROM HAUNUI.
Mrs Godfrey, of New Plymouth, who has been visiting Mr and Mrs J. Olsen, Haunui, has gone to Eketahuna.
Miss Thelma Olsen spent the holidays with Miss Molly Olsen. Miss Frances Houlbrooke has returned to Tiraumea after an extended visit to her sister, Mrs Elcock, Hokitika. Mrs Waldie, Sister Waldie, Masters W. Phillips and J. Jones, of Wellington, spent Easter with Mr and Mrs O. E. Robbie.
Mr and Mrs R. A. Robbie, of Fpxton, spent the Easter vacation with Mr and Mrs Malcolm Robbie. In all the homes at Haunui where chimneys were wrecked, new ones have been erected. In most cases one less in number has been replaced. A football club has been formed at Tiraumea and on Easter Monday a match between Tiraumea and Pongaroa, played at Pongaroa, resulted in a draw.
Owing to; the decrease in the supply of cream, the cream lorry is now only running two days a week.
