Complete mystery surrounds the clL.siippeanuK e of £4l) from the sale in the office of the Wellington show Association at. the Easter Show at about 10.30 o’c-Jock vost* relay momThe money was all in silver coin and, it is understood, had been brought from the bank, which opened at. 10 o’clock It was then placed in the safe, which was closed but not locked. The theft, which must have taken place soon after th.e money had beet* put in the safe, did not remain undiscovered for long, as a member of the staff had occasion to go to tinsafe shortly after 10.30 mm., and immediately noticed the absence of the money.
