United Press Assn.—Bv Electric Telegraph—Copvright. RUGBY, April 5. Lord Tyrrell, the retiring British Ambassador, was given a farewell reception at the British Embassy in Paris to-day. The British colony are presentino; Lord Tyrrell with a morocco-bound book bearing his eoat-of-arms and containing the names of the subscribers to a number of farewell gifts. MINISTER AT BANGKOK. RUGBY, April 5. The King has approved the appointment of Sir JosiaJb Crosby, British Minister at Panama, to be His Majesty’s Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Bangkok, in succession to Mr E. F. Former. Sir Josiah Crosby began bis diplomatic career in Siam, and has previously served in Bangkok as \ iee-Constl in 1911 and acting Con-sul-General, 1916-20.
