WEDDING BELLS.
COLES —WESTON A pretty wedding took place in the Masterton Salvation Ainiv Citadel on Saturday hot. the contract inn parties being Miss Elizabeth Pearl Weston, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Samuel Weston, of Xorsewood and Mr Douglas Henry Urbin Coles second son of the late Air and Airs Samuel Coles. The happy couple were former residents of Pahiatua. Lieut Colonel Toomer, assisted by Adjutant Norman, conducted the ceremony, the Citadel being beautifully decorated and arranged for the" wedding party by friends. The bride was escorted in the absence of her father liy Ensign Daisy Laskey, Lieutenant V. Laskey attending as bridesmaid Little Ahvyn. Nadine and Valda Coles took the parts of flower girls. Mr G. Leighton was best- man. The bride, with her escort and bridesmaid, were attired in the uniform of the Salvation Army and wore the customary white wedding sash of the organisation, caught with sprays of orange blossom on shoulders and hips. Bouquets were also carried, thu bride's being of white and cream rosps and sweet peas; the bridesmaid's of beautiful pink roses and sweet peas, while that of her escort was of lovely shades of apricot and deep cream roses and maidenhair fern. The three flower gills, attired ill creme frocks, all carried a posy of pastel tinted flowers. Many friends assembled at the Citadel to witness the ceremony and afterwards a reception was held, the tables being very daintily arranged for the guests. Mr and Airs Colos will reside in Afastorton.
