WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
A delightful interlude during the meeting of the Woodville Women’s Institute was an unexpected but most welcome visit from Mrs H. Paterson (Pahiatua), Dominion president of Women’s Institutes. Mrs Paterson, who was greeted by prolonged applause, spoke briefly on the growth and progress of the Institute movement, outlining the work of the Dominion executive, and giving information as to the arrangements now in hand for the aproaching annual Dominion conference. *Tn conclusion,” said Airs Paterson, £! our institutes have just completed another year of activity with its balancing of accounts, and what do we carry forward. A balance of enthusiasm, love and helpfulness, and an everwidening search for fresh fields of service.”
A hearty vote of thanks to the speaker was moved by Airs W. H. Nixon and carried by acclamation. —Examiner.
