At the Sydney wool sales t«-dav 10,275 bales were offered, of which 9075 bales were sold at auction, and 471 privately. The market to-day was oil a par with that of yesterday, skirtings comebacks, and crossbreds readily at firm prices. Competition was- confined chiefly to the Continental. Japanese and Yorkshire sections. Greasy merino fleece sold to 2Sd for eleven bales from Adelong, •Comeback sold to 28d for eleven bales from Cool ac. Tlic average price of the wool sold during the first- three days this week was £23 10s 5d a bale, or 19.5 d a ll».
