RISING PRICES.

The Board of Trade Journal records an increase of 1.9 per cent, lor January in the average of wholesale prices as compared with the previous month and of 4.5 per cent, as compared with 'January, 1933. For the first time for over five years the average for each of ten groups of commodities was higher than in the preceding month.
