NUPTIALS AT ST. PETER'S.

VERY* PRETTY MORNING WEDDING. PRIEST—(ROAD. St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Pahiatua, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion, by friends of the bride, was a scene of a* very pretty wedding oil Wednesday morning, February 7th, when Evelyn Clarice Horne, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. H. Croad. '' Te Ore Ore Farm,” Ballance, was married to Mervyn Frederick, third son of Mr and Mrs L J. T. Priest, Banks’ Peninsula, Canterbury. Rev. V. A. Bianchi performed the ceremony, while Air C. Sinclair, cousin of the bride, presided at the organ. The bride made a charming figure as she walked to the altar, escorted by her father, in her wedding gown of magnolia satin made on slimming lilies with tucked basque find quaint puffed sleeves. Her beautifully embroidered veil was held by a coronet of orange blossom and from there fell softly to the ground, where it formed a train. A bouquet of white gladiola. roses and maiden-hair fern completed her dainty toilet. In attendance as bridesmaids were Aliss Amelia Croad. sister of the bride, who was prettily gowned in an ankle-length pink checked organdie, while the second maid, Miss Gladys Croad. Rongotea (a cousin of the bride), was daintily frocked in a blue and white checked organdie. Wide brimmed picture hats, elbow length mittens, shoes and bouquets to tone with their frocks were favoured by both maids. The best man was Air Roland Croad, brother of the bride, and the groomsman was Air Fred Alunting. The reception was held at “Te Ore Ore Farm,” tib© hc-mei of the bride’s parents. Airs Croad received her guests, wearing a navy blue crepe-de-chine frock, relieved with touches of beige, ond navy blue straw hat. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and carnations. Airs aunt of the bridegroom, wore a floral crepe-de-chine, and navy straw hat, and carried a bouquet of carnations and roses. The happy young couple were the recipients of numerous gifts and cheques, which testified to 1 heir popularity. The bride and bridegroom later left by car for the north, the former travelling in a becoming afgaline costume in Lido blue" satin blouse smartly finished with organdie bow and smart beige straw hat.
