GROUP TELEPHONE SYSTEXI
United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON. December An invention which will be invaluable if applicable to rural Austr-a-lia, where inquisitive listening-in on party lines is prevalent, is a new and cheaper group telephone service, which will he available throughout England in April. Except for very small exchanges, subscribers will be connected to the exchange in groups of four to eight, and will be able to talk in complete secrecy. A subscriber cannot use the line while another is doing so nor telephone another in the same group, but as the greatest distance between these will not exceed 350 yards mutual telephonic communication should not be necessary.
