MOTOR PASSENGER SERVICES.

CASES DEALT WITH. The monthly sitting of the local Magistrate’s Court was held vesterday before Mr J. Miller, S.M. Several unusual motor by-law cases, the first of their kind to be brought locally, were heard. W. G. Milne, traffic- inspector for the Akitio County Council, proceeded against Claude Ferrick for being the owner of a private car which, on July 12th, at rongaroa, he used for a passenger service without havmg paid the full amount of the insurance premium. Defendant pleaded guiltv. The inspector pointed ' out that under such circumstances the third party risk did not cover the passengers.
