A DRY SPELL.
Wheat crops in orth Otago’ are beginning to suffer the unfamiliar spring drought, and right through Otago the pastures that had made good early growth are thirsting for rain. Country people find some consolation in the tact that the dry weather is of inestimable benefit to the lambs that now dot the paddocks of the coastal farms.
