WORK RESUMED.

TUNNELLERS AT TAWA FLAT. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, September 4. Work was resumed on the Tnwa Flat tunnel to-day. The tunnellers, numbering 120, have been on strike from August 8. The conditions to which the Minister finally agreed, £1 per shift to all men engaged on a “break” in the tunnel for fortnight, by which time the “break” will be finished, holiday privileges not being affected by the action of the men in ceasing work, operates from to-day.
