BROADCASTING STATIONS.

TAKEN OVER BY GOVERNMENT Electric Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, September 5. The Postmaster-General (Hon. A. Hamilton) announced to-dav that, following lengthy negotiations, he had in his capacity as Alinister oi Telegraphs, taken over from Air Lewis Eadie, of Auckland, the broadcasting station IZR, and from the 2ZW Broadcasting Service (Wellington), Ltd. the broadcasting station 2ZW. The change in control took effect yesterday. The stations will continue to be operated for the present by the former Later, it is expected these stations will form part of the national broadcasting service. A fuller statement will, be made by tiie Alinister at a later date.
