OBITUARY.

A well-known and highly esteemed resident of the Bulls district, Mrs F. C. Brookie, passed away at her residence, Parewanui, after a short illness. Mrs Brookie was a member of the well-known Tmgey family, of Wanganui, her father being Mr William Tingey, who emigrated to New Zealand in 1865 in the ship Tibernie. One oi the best-known... primary school teachers in Wellington of former generations, Miss Elizabeth Helyer, second daughter of the late Walter Helyer, well-known monumental mason of Wellington, died at 13 Tonks Avenue, Tipper Cuba Street, at the age of 77 years. Mass Helyer camp to Wellington with her parents from Victoria by way of Dunedin in the early ’sixties. Miss Helen Croucher, who passed away at Palmerston North on Thursday, was one of the most widely known and respected residents of Sanson. Deceased was horn in Wellington in 1874, and resided in Sanson practically all her life.
