OSWALD I.OSES TO AIAAIOS

Electric Telegraph—Press Association tj M'ELLINGTON, Last Night. Hank Oswald s flying tackles won the contest for Harry Alamos when the pair met in the Town hall wrestling ring this evening. Up to the sixth round honours were even, the going having been brisk and interesting. Oswald had taken a fall in the third round with a press followi norepeated charges, and Mamos had equalised in the fifth with an aeroplane spin and dump. Early in the sixth round Oswald used his favourite tackles, but Alamos, unshaken, angled for a loon slam. Twice heedless, Oswald escaped his fate by a fraction as he charged in head down. The third time Mamos missed the hold for his si a in, bur picked Oswald up bodily and turned him over in mid-air and dumped him on his shoulers. WALKED WINS. AUCKLAND. Last Night. __ A wrestling contest between Count N arga and George Walker ended m the fifth round in favour of Walker, who pinned his opponent following a hack loop slam. This did not appear to be as heavy as the majority applied, but it proved sufficient to keep on the mat until after the two minutes’ interval had expired. As Y arga did not rise at tlie gong, Walker was declared the winner. There was loud cheering every time either man indulged in open-handed slapping, ear and hair-pulling’ an.l whenever Walker stamped upon his opponent’s hare feet.
