THIEVES SENTENCED.

Electric Telegraph— Press Association WELLINGTON, September 1. Robert Bruce McKinley (34) and Henry Ralph Hagen (29) were each sentenced to two years’ reformative detention by Mr E. Page, S.M. They pleaded guilty to charges of theft of goods of a total value of £27 13s. The thefts were committed at Taihape and Otaki and the articles were sold during their peregrinations. It was stated that they had long lists of previous convictions and belonged to an undesirable element.
