BUTTER PRICES FIRM.
There was a further firming in the London butter market last week, on an active demand, and prices closed on Friday at 925-935, with up to 94s being paid in some cases, an advance of 2s to 3s on the week. The cheese market showed very little change, prices being steady -,n a quiet demand. Business is reported in butter for forward shipment up to middle of September at 1 () a c 1 per 11>. f.o.b. for “finest” grade, and $d per lb. less foi* first grade.
