WALLABIES WIN FIFTH TEST.

The Australian Rugby team won the fifth test match, defeating South Africa by 15 points to 4, after leading 12—-4 at half-time. The drought-stricken Free State capital was thronged with visitors, 10,000 attending the match. The weather was sunny and ideal and both teams were fit. Mr Neser was referee.

The North Island Rugby team to play the South Island at Wellington on September 23 will be selected by Messrs E. McKenzie and F. Sutherland at Auckland on September 16, following the inter-provincial contest between Wellington and Auckland.
