RAGE CLUB BALL.

MUSIC BY THE HIGH-HATTERS. The president and stewards of the Pahiatua Racing Club in an advertisement on the front page issue a cordial invitation to the public of Pahiatua and district to. attend their Race Ball, set down for Friday, Sep- ? tenther Bth, in the Drill Hall. So long has it been since the distinct held a function of this magnitude and so insistent were the requests to the Racing Club, that the stewards unanimously agreed to organise a public ball for the enjoyment of town and country supporters of tlie club. They have set out to do so on the same elaborate lines as previous years and the idea of a night of revelry has “caught on. Everywhere interest is unusually keen and as the prices have been reduced the support is likely to be even greater than ever before. In past years the balls in Pahiatua have earned a justifiable fame with outside patrons who are evidencing the greatest enthusiasm over next week’s function. Already it is definitely known that many parties are made up to journey from Mas ter ion. EkeTtnhuna, D'a.n nevirke Waipukurau. Woodville, Palmerston North and Eeilding, and the assembly seems certain to be a brilliant one.
