Tn a good, open exhibition of Rugby at Hastings this afternoon, the touring Southland representatives defeated Hawke's Bay by 20 points to 11. The match was played at a fast pace throughout, a feature being the handling of the whole of the Southland team, both backs and forwards indulging in many spectacular rushes.
