ANNUAL REPORT. The eighteenth annual report of the River bank Co-operative Dairy Company, to be submitted by the chairman, Mr J. Hanarav, to shareholders on August 29, is as follows : “Owing to the unsettled state of the markets, your directors very wisely kept the advances to a sale level, the average for the season being S.37Sd. The balance of unsold cheese has been taken in at the advance price of 4d, which leaves a further payment of lid jier lb butter-fat to be distributed over the months of December to May, making the total payment for the season 9-274 d per lb butter-fat. “During the season your directors decided on a scheme of issuing you a monthly circular letter, which I am sure has been appreciated by you, as it helps you to keep in touch with the business of the company and the prices being received for your produce. The thanks of tiie company are due to your secretary for the installation of the machine at his own expense, and the able manner in which lie compiles the items of interest to you. “Tlie output shows an increase of 39 tons on the previous season, and unpasteurised cheese was made over the latter half. The average grade was 91.48 points, which speaks highly for the make and milk supplied. “The staff are again deserving ot r the best thanks of the shareholders for their efficient services “Tlie retiring directors are Messrs Lovell and Hanarav, who being eligible offer themselves for re-elec-tion. The retiring auditors, Messrs Deiupsy and Litchfield, again offer their services. “The following arc the statistics for the season: Milk received for cheese-makmg, 8,307.8981 b; butterfat content, 357,256.161 b : average test, 4.3002 ; milk separated, 174,7071 b -. butter-fat content, •8,365.271 b ; average test, 4.78 ; lbs milk nsec! to manufacture 11b cheese, 9.053; lbs of cheese manufactured from lib butter-fat, 2.56866 ; output of cheese. 409 tons 13cwt 2qr 01b ; average grade for crate of cheese, 91.48 points.”
