COLLISION AT CROSSING. TRAIN DASHES INTO CAR. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. HAMILTON, This Day. A serious railway crossing accident occurred near Matamata railwaystation yesterday when a collision occurred between a motor car and ti e north-bound' Rotorua-Auckland express. Two occupants of a car, .Tarries Milne, 27. Government hero-testing officer (Whangarei), arid his wife, Ruby Milne, aged 29, were injured. Mrs Millie received injuries to her head and back, a fractured right arm, and severe shock. Her condition is critical. Milne sustained abrasions. The young couple were on their annual vacation.
