INCREASED DAIRYING.
EXPANSION IN WANGANUI. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WANGANI I. August 22. A very substantial increase has been noted in dairying in the Wanganui district during recent years, and already a bgi increase is noted over the corresponding jiericd of last season. During the winter two factories have found it necessary to instal new mac-hirery to cope with the increase, the capacity last season having been taxed to the utmost. The increase is due largely tc former sheep-farmers turning their attention tc dairying, and to, the use of manures. A few years ago two local companies had a combined output of 500 tons ; they finished last season with 1665 tons.
