MILK GRADING.
THE NEW REGULATIONS At the annual meeting of tho North Tiraumea Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., on Monday niglit the following letter was .read from the Federation of Taranaki Cc operative Dairy Factories : “As you are aware the leejuest of the deputation which waited on the Minister to convey the resolution i>assed at the N.D.A. Conference has had no effect in amending the regulations to provide for the use of. either one -at the three tests for grading milk for cheese making. The Companies here who have been pressing for this reform have decided that tho only course now op n is to present a petition to Parliament. Wo are preparing this petition and will shortly forward it to you that you can obtain as many signatures as possible. “This letter is just to keep you informed that we have not ceased our efforts to have the regulations amended.'’ The letter, which was read with considerable interest, was teceived. Advice was also received from the Push Dairy Companies Association that on the same subject a joint meeting of dairy factor> directors irom the Bush and Southern Hawke'.* Bay Associations would be held at Woodville on Friday next at 1.-30 to discuss the milk grading regulations and the question oi tests. The member for the district. Hon. E. A. Ransom, has* been invited.
