FIRE BRIGADE.
There was a good attendance at the monthlv meeting of the Fire Brigade held in the Fire Station cu Monday night. Supt. W. H. Lawry was in the chair. The Institute examination syllabus was read, and one fireman signified bis intention of studying from the text books and sitting for the examination. • Four honorary members were balloted for—Messrs L. Franklyn, J. Mills, A. East and S. Alatthews—and all were elected. It was resolved that in future all honorary members’ lees become due at the end of the financial year, 30th June. As fees become due members will pay at the rate of Is per month until June 30th next. It was decided to complete the .second round of the billiard tournaent A - go-: 28th. Air Al. Cosford was proposed as an active fireman.
