COMPETITION FOR NURSES.
Something new in the way of a competition is to be. inaugurated at the Napier Hospital where a trophy is to be awarded by the chairman of the Hawke’s Bay Hospital Board (Mr C. O. Morse) to the ward which has the lowest number of crockery breakages each month. Tj ie question of crockery breakages upon by the house cdmmittee at a meeting of the board, and it was mentioned that the chairman had signified his intention of presenting a trophy for monthly competition. The committee considered that the sister in charge of the Midgley Ward should he complimented on the fact that last month her ward had the least number of breakages. The increasing number of breakages in certain other parts of the institution was said to be “viewed with alarm” by the committee.
