OPOSSUM SALE.
SECOND WELLINGTON SALE. The second Wellington opossum skill sale was held on Friday by the combined brokers, a full bench of buyers being present. Competition for super and good quality skins was spirited, but medium and poorer quality lots sold at reduced values.
The following is the range of prices:—Blues: Super, 12s 6d to 10s; firsts, 10s to 9s 6d; seconds, os 9d to ss. Blacks: Super, 11s 9d to 8s lOd ; firsts, 7s 3d to 7s; seconds, os to 4s 6d. Greys: Super, 10s 6d to 8s 3d ; firsts, 8s 6d to 7s 3d ; seconds, 5s 6d to ss. Browns: Super, 6s 3d; firsts, os; seconds, 3s lOd. Rustys : Super, 6s 6d; firsts, 5s 3d ■ seconds, 2s 9d. Red necks: Super, 6s; firsts, 4s lid: seconds, 2s lid. Trappers' lines, 7s lOd, 7s 6d, 7s, 6s lid, 6s 6d, 6s 3d to 6s. Badly stretched and poor quality lines sold at reduced rates.
