THE NEWSPAPER
(Exchange.! Don't stop my paper, printer, Keep my advt. in yet, A'ou know that times are stringent. And money hard to get. But tug a little harder Is what I mean to do, And scrape bawbees together Enough to sea us through. I can’t afford to drop it: I know it doesn't pay To do without an ad. and paper, However others may. I hate to ask my neighbours To give me theirs on loan ; Thev do not say, but mean it, “Why don’t you have your oini?” I can't tell what I'm losing, li by some decree of Fate. It should not happen to reach me, Or if my ad. is dropped from date. Then all is in a hubbub, And things go all awry, And Air Printer, if you’re married, lou know the reason why. It is little use to try, cannot do without them. For other people c-«n keep going, . And Air Printer, so must I. The paper keeps mo posted With local news and views And I would feel disloyal If I did not it peruse. Then take it kindly, printer, If pay be somewhat slow, For cash is not so plenty And wants not few you know. The flag I'll keep on flying. Cost what it may to me ; I d rather dock my sugar, And do without *my tea. So. Air Printer, do not stop it. I nless you want a frown, lor here s a little to go on with, And credit it right down —Q.E.D.
