PONGAROA WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
At the February meeting of the Pongaroa W.l. it was decided to hold a bring and buy sale for the benefit af institute members in the earthquake area. Miiss Pickett’s and Mi's fi. Herbert’s programme included a, veiy interesting demonstration on various kinds of raffia work, and a competition in which the jumbled names of towns had to be guessed Miss E. Kent contributed, a, recitation, “J want to go with Daddy.” 1 lie hostesses for the meeting were Airs F. Kent and the Misses B. and E. Kent. Several visitors were present.
