LEAKY ROOFS.
HEAVY RAIN AT NAPIER. Electric Telegraph—Press Association NAPIER. This Dav. Exceptionally heavy ram fell for over an hour this morning but the conditions now. at 9.15 o’clock, are definitely clearing. The sea is calm and the wind westerly. Rain found many leaky roofs, and those firms using partially wrecked business premises are put to much convenience. There have been no major shocks since Sunday, at 1.-50 a.m., but a few minor shocks have been felt. The river problem is no worse, and the return of sunshine conditions should again improve.
