Walter Runciman has decided to retire from Parliament next election. He will devote himself wholly to business. Lord Joicey, prominent in the north country, and a life-long Liberal. announces his secession from the party on account of its support for the Labourites. Mr Neville Chamberlain admits that changes in the staff of the Conservative organisation. which his opponents are attributing to the failure of the Conservative Party to make headway', are desired by the party leaders.
