HUKANUI v. MAKOMAKO
The Byrne Shield Miniature Rifle competition was advanced a further stage last evening when the Hukanui club journeyed to Makomako. E. Vile 96. J. Day 96, G. Day 96. W G. Eising 90, total 942. NIREAHA’S LEAD. The competition for the Byrne Shield for miniature rifle clubs, belonging to the Bush Miniature R fle Association, is now nearing the cal of the season, auu at five conclusion of the first round Nireaha had a big lead of 71 points on their nearest opponents, Makomako being run-ners-up, and Mangaittutu occupying third position. For the five matches fired in the first round the Nireaha Club put up the fine performance of ail average of 936 points per match. hollowing are the scores of all chibs at the end of the first round:
