Quite a large number of Church members and friends met in tlie L re.-bvterian Church, Woodville, on the occasion of Mr, Mrs and M -- Russell leaving Woodville for Wellington. The Rev. R. Gardner sented Mrs Russell with a beautiful crystal jug and goblets and a civ>uil sweets dish was presented to Muss Russell.
Many old friends iu Woodville will team with regret of the death of Mrs Sarah Burtton relict ol the late John Burtton, which occurred at tiie residence ol her daughter Mrs \ M. Burnett Fox street Woody illyesterday. She is survived by a famffv of six, of whom the daughters are Mrs Milner (DannevirkeT and Mrs Burnett (Woodville) and ti e soil® Messrs F'red (Kumeroa) Richard and Charles (Napier) and Janies (Shannon).
