The New Zealand Loan and /Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Wellington, report:—The filth wool sale of the .season was held to-day. when a total catalogue, of 12.000 ‘bales was submitted. Our catalogue comprised 1800 bales, of which 750 were soi.l under the lianuaer. There was a full bench of buyers, representing most woo! consuming countries, as well as speculators, Dominion mills and scourers. Competition was keen at the lower range of price.., and values can be quoted a full penny lower for fleece and lambs, and threcfatthings lower for bellies and pieces. The bulk of the offering was secured by Bradford buyers, with a few lots secured by Continental houses. While the sale shows a drop oil the last Wellington fixture tit© prices are quite on a par with late sales held in the South Island.
