DRUIDS’ LODGE

THURSDAY’S MEETING. A large and representative meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was held on Thursday evening, A.D. Rro. A. F. Cosford presiding. After routine business, there was a discussion with regard to card evenings, and the suggestion for a bridge tournament was brought forward. P.D.P. Bro. (.. G. Taylor kindly donated half a gunea and P.A. Bro. F. Bidder subscribed os for the second prize. Three members were reported on Hie sick list, and a vote of sympathy was passed to Bro. A. HG. Baxter jn the death of his mother, the brethren standing in silence as a mark of respect. A vote of sympathy was also passed to the relatives of P.A. Bro. A. P. Fox, who is seriously ill. Several accounts were passed for payment. Two members were initiated into the Order. There are good prospects of lady members being admitted into the Order, and several of them are intending to join the Lodge. Supper was handed round, and a very pleasant evening spent.
