MINISTERS ON TOUR.
CEREMONIES NEAR GISBORNE'. Electric Telegraph—Press Association GISBORNE, This Day. A large gathering at Waiomatatiri yesterday witnessed the unveiling of a memorial to Lady Ngata, the ceremony being performed by the Hon. G. Forbes, and also a memorial to Makarini Ngata, son of the native Minister, which was unveiled by Mr K. S. Williams, M.P. Hon. G. Forbes, after attending the native function at Waiomatatini, visited Te Aroroa to-day and is expected to return to Gisborne tonight. Hon. E. A. Ransom arrived last night from Rotorua and went south this morning Air Forbes received an application from Sir Apinrnna Ngata that an Agricultural Department officer should be stationed in Waiapu, as there dairying amongst the Maoris is expanding.
