WOODVILLE v. OROUA. A six-rink match between Woodvillc and Oroua was played on the Woodville green on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the latter by 23 points m the aggregate, Mr Thomas Hewat at on© time, a prominent building contractor in Pahiatua, was among the Folding bowlers who visited Wocdvill© on Saturday.—Examiner. THE PAHIATUA CLUB. In the semi-finals of the SeniorJunior Handicap Pains Competition, P. A. Bisset and E. Stack on Monday evening defeated MeSherrv and Johnson by 17 to 14 after a. very interesting and strenuous game, tine winning points being scored on the last two heads. M©Sherry played a particularly good game. Tli© losers who had a handicap of 2. were considered to have dome very well to have got so close to victory, as they had hard opponents. For some time if wag a very even struggle. In the early stages of the competition, prior to the holidays,. Bisset and Stack had an easy win over tire, same opponents, so it will be seen that the losers on the second occasion, displayed greatly improved form.
