TOTALISATOR DESTROYED
FIRE AT DARGAYILLE. Electric Telegraph—Press Association DARGAYILLE, August 5. Fire early on Sunday morning totally destroyed the tctalisa.tor house of the Dargqville Racing Club, at Lwakino Point, together with a quantity ol' plant belonging to the club and a quantity of household furniture owned by Mr A. J. Finch, just temporary there. The brigade turned out but its the building is two miles from the town and cut of the water supply area nothing, could ibe done and tiie fire mado a clean sweep. The insurance on the building and plant is £450. and oil the stored furniture it is not. known. The Racing Club will be lieavy losers as the building was a. fairly substantial one The origin is fj mystery as no one has been in the building for some week®.
