\ In. “That’s My Daddy” Jimmy Norton, held up by a. speed cop, pleads a dying child in hospital. The good-hearted cop insists on piloting Jimmy to the hospital where fate places a little orphan gill, who always dreamed of a .father like .Jimmy, into his hands. He involuntarily adepts her ar.d th’e ijvolieemr n s ecures his pretty young sister for a mmse. Jimmy is to be married to his wealthseeking fiancee on tlie morrow, 'but the complications innocently caused by his new “daughter” upset the wedding and instead stimulates a romance that- proves a much happier conclusion for nil. No. 2 feature will he John: Gilbert in “Alan. Woman and Son,” a drama of tii© newspaper world, concerning a young cub I'l’Irt<‘r who fulls in love with the society editress. Com plications ensue. A murder occurs, for which the young reporter is arrested, and eventually cleared. Hid eyes are opened to the .proverb “All Is not (gold that glitters.” Gazettes and New Zealand News complete a fine programme.
