THE PRIZE LIST. At the break-up of the above on December 19th, each child received a prize m recognition of his or her good work during the year. The awards were presented to the following: Std. A' I—proficiency certificates: Phyllis Holdaway and Nellie Gregory. Std. V : Jack Hercoek, Patrick Beech. Std. I\ r : Best examinations, Anita Hill; attendance and 2nd best examinations, Edwin Hill; attendance and good work, Bertha Olsen ; speed and good work, AVilliam Holdaway; good work, Violet Long and Morton Hercoek; best for reading, writing, spelling, neatness and accuracy, Honorah Beech ; winner of the medal kindly given by Air E. P. Badger to the best pupil, Honorah Beech. Std. Ill: Donald Eddie. Std. II : Zillah Church. Std. I: Best examination and best writing, John ’Richard Bibby; attendance and good work, Robert Church. Introductory: Reading and good work, Kevin Beech. Preparatory: Best writing and neatness, Vincent A. Hill ; industry, Gwen Eddie, Harry Church, Margaret Bibby, Doris Eddie and Basil Bengston. Attendance certificates: Bertha Olsen, Edwin Hill, Robert Church. A handsome prize given by Mrs Cornelius for the best sewing was won by Nellie Gregory. The teacher (Miss Newman) wishes to thank the members of the school committee and the parents for their co-operation during the year. Th e prizes were distributed by Mr F. W. Bibby chairman of the committee, who alluded in glowing terms to the success of the teacher as the outcome of her excellent work.
