VESTRIS DISASTER
OFFICIAL REPORT. United Press Assn —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK. December 19. Mr' O’Neill has published the official report on the investigation into the sinking of the Vestris. The report stated the hearing had shown there was no basis fox' prosecuting anyone in the United States for the disaster, but criticised the management of the vessel and ui'ged a stricter inspection of ships of foreign registi'y in the American trade. Such vessels should be_ given the same inspection as American vessels unless they held eei'tificates of inspection from the country of registry.—Australian Press Atssn.
