The death occurred at Christchurch on Saturday o.f Air Harry Brinkman, the well-known trotting handicapper. aged 68. The death occurred at Christchurch, on Saturday of Mr W. H. Norton of the firm of Tonks, Norton and Co., auctioneers. Brigadier-General George Macleay* Macarthur Onslow C.M.G.. D. 5.0.. V.D., has hex'n appointed to the vacancy on tli© Principal Board in Sv»ncv cf the Australian Mutual Proi idont Society, caused bv the death of Mr W. M. Viiidin. The death lias occurred at Mastertoil of Mr H. C. Roberts at the age of 68 years. Deceased, who w:.s bom in Wr.is.ill, England, engaged in th© saddlery trade and since returning to New Zealand from Sydney twenty years ago. resided in Ma-sterton. While resident in Wellington lie was prominent in athletic circles.
