NEW ZEALAND’S REPLY. United Press Assn—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Wellington; This Day. The reply of the New Zealand Government to the note from the United States Government containing revised proposals for the treaty for the renunciation of war was handed to the United States Charge D’Affaires in London yesterday. The text of his reply will be available for publication in New Zealand to-morrow, simultaneously with the publication in London and Washington. LONDON, July 18. Sir Austen Chamberlain, in the House of Commons, announced tliat replies from Britain, Australia, and other Dominions had been handed to the United States accepting the peace proposals provided they are so phrased as to safeguard British lights and interests in conformity with the nations declared policy.
