Harris, general manager of the Radio Broadcasting Co., has received a cable from the company’s representative in New York, stating that arrangements for putting a short-wave description of the Been ey-Tunney fight on July 2®tlj, on the air. have been completed. It is hoped by the Broadcasting Co that it will he possible to pick up the short-wave description with sufficient strength and clarity to enable it to he put on the air by New Zealand stations. GISBORNE, Last Night. The Atwater Kent radio service station, 2ZM, operated 'by Afessrs R. J. Patty and P. Stevens, Gisborne, advises having received the following message from K.D.K.A., Pittsburg: “Tell all New Zealand and Austraila we will be broadcasting tlie Heen-ley-Tunney fight on 264 metres.” K.D.K.A., has also asked Messrs. Patty and Stevens to keep in touch with Commander Byrd’s Antarcticflight. Details of departure will be announced later.
