GATHERING AT KOHINUI

The Kohiiiui school picnic was held on Friday in a paddock kindly lent by Mr J. D. Piper and a most enjoyable day was spent. The events resulted as follows: Senior boys’ race: Kenneth AA’all 1. Hanmer Taylor and A’ernon Ala lining tied for 2nd place. Junior boys: Alan Fulton 1, Reggie Foster 2. Senior girls Flossie Rose aud Leila Griffiths, Ist equal. Junior girls: May Hopkins I. Alice Rose 2. Consolation race, boys: Rov Gardiner 1, Walter Allen 2 Consolation race, girls: Florence Cornforth 1, Mary Gardiner 2. Three-legged race, boys: Leslie Olsen and Walter Manning 1, Ken AVall and Vernon Manning 2. Three-legged race, girls: Florrie Cornforth and Flossie Rose 1. Alary Gardiner and Alice Rose 2. Single ladies’ race: Aliss Manning 1. Aliss Fulton 2. Married ladies’ race: Airs Elmers 1. Airs Cornforth 2. Single men’s race: K. Fulton I. S. Bone 2. Married men’s race: Air Fulton 1. In tlie evening a very pleasant dance was held in the Koliinui schoolroom, and a large crowd attended. Capital music was supplied by Airs F. Nagel, and ext Fas were contributed by Airs Manning.
