PAHIATUA v. HAMUA. After being postponed twice, a return match against Hamua was played at Pahiatua yesterday. Unfortunately rain set in soon after the match had started. The result was a win for Hamua by 9 —6. The individual matches resulted as under, Pahiatucplayers being mentioned first: — Swainson v. Bourke, all square ; M. Smith won from P. Dougherty, 4 up , Lefroy lost to Sinclair. 3 and 1 ; Wilson lost to Payne 3 and 2; G. H. Smith lost to Sievers 2 up; Badger lest to Carrutbers 4 and 3; Nelson won from Ferguson, 7 and 5; McCardle won from Warner 7 and 5; Crawford lost to J. Dougliertv 1 up , Mrs Marsh lost to Mns Sinclair 1 up : Miss Shekletcn v. Mrs Cook, all square; Miss Hubbard won from Miss Badger 4 and 2 ; Miss K. Nelson lost to Mrs Carrutbers 1 up;*Miss L. Nelson lost to Mrs Bourke 3 and 2 : Miss Swainson won from Miss A. Henderson 4 and 2; Miss Arrow won from Miss J. Henderson 3 and 2: Miss F. Nelson lost to Miss Small 4 and 3. There will be a Medal Competition on Saturday, entries can be made at Mr Badger’s.
